Class Action Litigation

Class Action Litigation Lawyers in California

Righetti · Glugoski, P.C. prosecutes class actions resulting from a wide variety of unlawful business practices. Many of our cases start as the result of a complaint by one or two people who question whether they are being treated unfairly and take the time to pick up the phone and ask us, "Can they really get away with that?"

Our trial attorneys provide fast and clear answers to individuals who have questions about their rights. With more than 40 years of combined legal experience, we take pride in helping our clients understand their rights under state and federal laws. From our offices in San Francisco, we fight to insure that our clients obtain justice under state and federal laws.

Why a Class Action Lawsuit?

A class action allows one or several individuals to sue on behalf of a larger group of individuals. For instance, it is likely that if you are being treated unfairly at work, such as not being paid appropriately for overtime, then your co-workers are very likely experiencing the same treatment. When that happens, it is not practical for each person affected to individually sue the company over and over. If the issues in dispute are common to a group, a class action can greatly simplify the process by bringing a single lawsuit that covers the whole group.

By combining hundreds or thousands of similar claims in a class action we can improve efficiency and keep the overall costs of litigation down. Where many cases are not pursued at all because the recovery for each individual would be too small to justify pursuing a case, a class action allows one to aggregate the many small claims into one large claim that justifies legal action.

We have represented clients in class action lawsuits including:

  • Labor claims for unpaid wages and benefits such as overtime, meal and/or rest breaks, vacation, misclassification, expense reimbursement, off the clock work, etc.
  • Glass ceiling and other employment discrimination claims
  • Privacy violations
