John Glugoski

Mr. Glugoski is a trial attorney who specializes in representing claimants in both state and federal court civil litigation and in arbitrations. For over twelve years John's practice has emphasized class action litigation as an effective means to obtain relief for large groups of similarly situated individuals.  John regularly appears before state and federal courts throughout the nation at both the trial and appellate levels, representing not only victims who have suffered serious personal injuries, or the loss of a loved one, but also employees in a broad range of labor and employment disputes, including wage and hour matters, discrimination claims, employment contract disputes, and employee benefits claims.

Among his many courtroom successes, John recently spent six weeks trying an employment class action lawsuit in San Diego County Superior Court where he obtained a class wide judgment against the employer finding that the employer had misclassified salaried store employees as exempt in an attempt to evade California's strict overtime laws.  In addition to this case, John has obtained results well above one million dollars in over twenty different cases on claims ranging from employment, to labor, wage and hour, product liability, personal injury, wrongful death, and privacy rights.

John is also an accomplished appellate lawyer having achieved groundbreaking victories in the state and federal courts of appeal, including Rutti v. Lojack, United States Court of Appeals For the Ninth Circuit Case No. 07-56599; Martinez v. Crab Addison, United States Court of Appeals For the Ninth Circuit Case No. 09-56573.

Education:

Mr. Glugoski received his Bachelors Degree from UC Berkeley in 1993 and received his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1997.
